SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the high variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The company issue created for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
